being better

Perfect is a “state of being complete”. According to Online Etymology Dictionary (etymonline.com), the word perfection is defined as completeness.

Perfection can also signify purity.

In the Encyclopedia of Applied Ethics (Second Edition), 1998, purity refers to the most desired state of being, the ideal condition.

Purification of the mind reveals truth and advances state of consciousness. The expungement of toxins in the mind will lead to a completed or finished cycle.

Perfectionism, in this context, is not obtained by being flawless.

In an imperfect state, we master lessons and achieve perfection.
